Housing, Lying, and Politicians:
Good Morning
At this point we are considering calling off the search as the dog has tracked the fugitives to the Mexican border, where after selling their homes for top dollar, the perpetrators are taking a much needed vacation in their beach front villas, sponsored by the National Association of Realtors and the American Home Builders Assn. and co-sponsored by Alan Greenspan.
As the housing disaster worsens, politicians are diligently looking for a solution to help the American people. . .to believe that congress was not in session during the past five years of fiscal irresponsibility that led up to this housing mess.
One high level Democrat was quoted as saying, “Leave George Bush alone to run things for even five years, and look what he has done!”
“This is a national crisis. Too bad it’s taken so long to realize that we have a crisis,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of
“President Bush has been slow to address a situation that could cost millions of people their homes.”
When asked why he and Speaker Pelosi didn’t personally take some responsibility for not intervening in the flawed fiscal debacle, Mr. Reid answered, “All Nanc and I know is what that idiot George Bush tells us.” (Okay, I’m making that part up, but…think about it).
I want to remind all of you who read and contribute to my blog, that I remain politically homeless.
The housing wreck that I predicted more than 18 months before it happened and the focus on immigration that I clearly chronicled many months before it was news worthy, are a matter of record in my book. But, those subjects were busy sustaining our broken economy at the time; so why make waves? When it all blows up, we can blame George Bush.
Am I a George Bush fan? Not at all. But I won’t give quarters to those who have served for years in the house and senate and now say they had no idea what was going on. To really tell you how dumb I am, heck, I thought that was their job.
Did our politicians on both sides of the aisle have a responsibility to know the wreck was coming? My opinion? A blind man on a fast horse could have seen it coming. Did they have an obligation to intervene for the benefit of the American people?
If they don’t possess the knowledge and understanding of this bush league writer, well, maybe we should get some bush league politicians who do.
The real loser in the ongoing political charade is Middle Class America and our kids and grandkids. Get together
